Leslie Matamoros currently works as the Curator of Exhibitions at the Ontario Museum of History & Art. Matamoros has over 18 years of experience in interpretive exhibit development and contemporary art installation. In 2005, Matamoros graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a B.A. in Studio Art. Since 2013, she have been a member of the California Association of Museum’s (CAM) Strategic Foresight Committee. In May 2017, Matamoros graduated from Claremont Graduate University with a M.A. in Arts Management. Following graduation, she accepted a seat as Board Secretary for the nonprofit organization, The Arts Area and was nominated Vice Chair for the Public Art Committee in the City of Rancho Cucamonga. Her goal is to serve the community by fostering partnerships between local governments and nonprofit art organizations, and to increase the visibility of arts and culture in the Inland Empire.
