Alycia is an accomplished artist, creative entrepreneur, and co-founder of a woman and minority-owned small business, 3rd Season Designs. Based in Pomona, CA, 3rd Season specializes in producing apparel with sustainable hand-made textiles.
Her practice is rooted in an extensive background in studio art, having earned a BA in Fine Art with a studio concentration from the University of La Verne. She is currently pursuing an MFA at ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena, CA with an emphasis in sustainability. Beyond her artistic pursuits, she has also developed significant expertise in corporate business administration and organizational management. Her strong understanding of finances and risk management has helped her business become a self-sufficient income-generating operation.
Deeply passionate about community-driven initiatives, she has made a positive impact in her local community, through her involvement with public arts and the City of Pomona’s cultural arts commission. Through her work in the city, she has been able to support underrepresented groups and help provide opportunities for individuals to thrive. Her ultimate goal is to bridge the gap between business needs and artistic practice, paving the way for others to generate a sustainable income from their art and continue to make a significant impact in the creative industry.
